Gum Wall

In 1991, patrons of a neighboring theater started sticking used chewing gum to this wall. The gum persisted despite repeated cleanings, so the market gave up and embraced it as an icky tourist attraction. It is still subject to sporadic deep cleans, to keep the inches-thick crust of fermenting sugar and saliva from digesting the bricks.
