Timeline

  1. 15:29

    Thai Tom

Grab a spicy dinner at Thai Tom. The kitchen is right behind the counter, so you can watch the chefs work while you eat simple, Bangkok-style dishes.

  2. 16:14

    Ravenna Park

Walk 6 minutes SSE from the restaurant to Ravenna Park. The park is open until 22:00, giving you plenty of time to settle in before the sun goes down.

  3. 16:44

    Ravenna Park Triangle

Head to Ravenna Park Triangle. The sun sets toward the WSW. From the triangle, the anchor (Ravenna Park) is to the NNW, meaning you have a clear view of the sky in the correct direction for the sunset.

  4. 17:29

    Ravenna Park

Stay in Ravenna Park as the light fades. The park’s natural setting offers a quiet place to linger after the sunset has passed.

Local tip

Thai Tom is the closest thing Seattle has to a Bangkok street stall. If you prefer a different vibe, the park itself is known for scenes from the comic Black Hole, adding a bit of local cultural context to your walk.
