National Zoological Park

NZP

The Delhi Zoo is a very large and sprawling park dedicated to preserving the rich biodiversity of the country. This park may be the only chance of seeing a tiger or elephant for some travellers. Be prepared to do a lot of walking.

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium

India's fourth largest stadium, often called just "Nehru Stadium". Mainly used for athletics and football games but also for concerts. It's the home stadium for the Indian football team.

Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium

Watch cricket at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium. Watch India play in One day or T20 international in the crowded stadium with a capacity of 41,820. Five day test cricket is another option with lesser crowd. Also watch the local club Delhi Capitals (formerly Delhi Daredevils) play the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Bharat Mandapam

formerly Pragati Maidan

A venue for large exhibitions and conventions in New Delhi, and one of the largest in India, overlooking the Purana Qila opposite gate number 1. It houses exhibition halls, eateries, performance spaces and compounds and hosts over 70 national and international exhibitions annually, with the largest being the India International Trade Fair (IITF). During the exhibitions, entry of visitors is also allowed through Gate No. 4 on Bhairon Marg. Rock shows and plays are held quite frequently. There is also an internal shuttle service for those who do not wish to walk.

Deer Park

Aditya Nath Jha Deer Park

A fantastic park for a relaxing. There are some good restaurants near this park and has Tomb of Firoz Shah Tughlaq at one of its corners. Has a boating lake. It is also the home to many deer, peacocks, monkeys, ducks and other wildlife. It's a paradise for morning walkers and has picnic huts. It is near Delhi Lawn Tennis Association.

Indira Gandhi Arena

Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium

The largest indoor sports arena in India and among the largest in Asia. It is regularly used by tennis club Indian Aces and DSA Senior Division Futsal League.

Indraprastha Park

It includes a children's park, an amphitheatre and a food court. The park was constructed in 2004 by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

Thyagaraj Sports Complex

The Thyagaraj Sport Complex is a sports stadium in New Delhi, India. It is owned by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and was built at the cost of ₹300 crore (US$31 million). It was designed by leading architects PTM of Australia and Kapoor & Associates of Delhi.

Yamuna Sports Complex

One of India's best maintained sport complexes. Play over 20 sports and activities including archery, squash, table tennis, aerobics, fencing, yoga, chess and snooker.

Garden of Five Senses

Partly built over a rocky terrain, the garden has various theme areas, including a section on the lines of Mughal Gardens, plus pools of water lilies, bamboo courts, herb gardens and a solar energy park.

Kalindi Kunj

A public garden, named after Kalindi (another name for the river and goddess Yamuna), as it is next to the Yamuna River. It consists of the Delhi Eye, a Ferris wheel named after the one in London. Several tourist attractions are visible from the Delhi Eye.

Sanjay Lake Park

संजय झील Sañjay Jhīl

A newly built adventure park comprising a range of outdoor activities, from water sports and treetop courses to archery and beach volleyball. The adventure park also has an artificial lake which attracts migratory birds and is surrounded by indigenous trees.

Yamuna Biodiversity Park

A biodiversity park developed by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). It serves as an ideal habitat for migratory and resident bird species.

Mahatma Gandhi Park

Company Bagh

An early British-era garden, later rededicated in memory of Gandhi.

Waste to Wonder Park

Opened in 2019, this theme park has replicas of some of the world's wonders including the Colosseum, Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Great Pyramid of Giza, Eiffel Tower, Christ the Redeemer Statue and the Statue of Liberty. All the replicas are made of industrial waste and scrap.

A stadium built for the 1982 Asian Games.

The Free Spirit Dance Studio

Dance workshops on Bollywood, Indian folk genres like bhangra and contemporary Western and fusion genres, including jazz, hip-hop and zumba.

Safdarjung's Tomb

The Tomb of Safdar Jang is a sandstone and marble mausoleum in Delhi, India. It was built in 1754 in the late Mughal Empire style for Nawab Safdarjung. Safdarjung, Nawab of Awadh, was made prime minister of the Mughal Empire (Wazir ul-Mamlak-i-Hindustan) when Ahmed Shah Bahadur ascended the throne in 1748.

Lodhi Gardens

Lodi Gardens is a city park situated in New Delhi. Spread over 90 acres (360,000 m2), it contains Muhammad Shah's tomb, the tomb of Sikandar Lodi, the Shisha Gumbad and the Bara Gumbad. These monuments date from the late Delhi Sultanate, during the Sayyid dynasty (r. 1414–1451) and Lodi dynasty (r. 1451–1526).

Ajmal Khan Park

Ajmal Khan Park is an urban park in the central part of the Karol Bagh of New Delhi, India. Spread over five acres, it was initially opened in 1921, named Hakim Ajmal Khan (1868–1927), noted freedom fighter and Unani medicine physician. It is adjacent to Tibbia College built by Hakim Ajmal Khan.
