   The Delhi Zoo is a very large and sprawling park dedicated to preserving the rich biodiversity of the country. This park may be the only chance of seeing a tiger or elephant for some travellers. Be prepared to do a lot of walking.

   Sunder Nursery

   Central Park, Azim Bagh, Bagh-e-Azeem

   A 16th-century heritage park complex. During British rule, the nursery was established to grow experimental plants. Today the nursey still operates. It is an interesting mix of landscape gardens coupled with wilderness. The park is a favourite among morning and evening walkers and has special play zones for kids.

   Fatehpuri Masjid

   Fathepuri Masjid stands at the very western end of the Chandni Chowk. Fatehpuri Masjid was built in 1650 by Fatehpuri Begum, one of Emperor Shah Jahan's wives who was from Fatehpur Sikri. After the revolt of 1857, the Muslims were driven out of the city and the mosques became functionless. Several of them were auctioned out including the Fathepuri Masjid. Rai Lala Chunnamal purchased the mosque at a staggering sum of Rs. 19,000 Rai Lala Chunnamal, whose descendants still live in the Chunnamal haveli in Chandni Chowk, made a fortune during the revolt of 1857 by supplying provisions to the British. Strangely the mosque was not demolished and Rai Lala Chunnamal kept it under lock and key. During the first durbar of Delhi in 1877, the prohibition against Muslims entering (or living in) Delhi was lifted. The mosque was acquired by the British and made available to Muslims for prayers. Lala Chunnilal's family received an estate of four villages in exchange for the mosque. The mosque is built using red sandstone and has a fluted dome with mahapadma and kalash on the top. Flanked by minarets, the mosque has a traditional design with the prayer hall having seven-arched openings.

   It includes a children's park, an amphitheatre and a food court. The park was constructed in 2004 by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

   Nicholson Cemetery

   Located near the Kashmiri Gate the Nicholson Cemetery is an active cemetery and the final resting place of hundred of Christians (both British and Indian). The cemetery in named after Brigadier General John Nicholson, who is often considered by the British as the hero of the Revolt of 1857. During the reclaiming of Delhi in 1857 Nicholson was shot near the Lahore Gate and was carried back to the camp. He died a slow and painful death. Nicholson Cemetery is approached through a beautiful cottage styled arched gateway, which doubles up as the living quarters of the cemetery’s caretaker and his family. The grave of John Nicholson lies just right of the entrance and is fenced by an iron railing. The epitaph reads: "The grave of Brigadier General John Nicholson who led the assault of Delhi but fell in the hour of victory mortally wounded and died 23rd September 1857 aged 35." Another important person to be buried in the Nicholson Cemetery is Yesudas Ramachandra, professor of Mathematics at Delhi Government College.

   Waste to Wonder Park

   Opened in 2019, this theme park has replicas of some of the world's wonders including the Colosseum, Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Great Pyramid of Giza, Eiffel Tower, Christ the Redeemer Statue and the Statue of Liberty. All the replicas are made of industrial waste and scrap.

   The mall is divided into three broad zones: Staple Traditional (family), Celebration (centre-stage) and High Voltage (youth). There are eight anchor tenants including Goodearth Verandah, Pantaloons, Crossword Bookstore, Mothercare, Arcelia, and Home Stop. The mall also has 125 stores representing over 500 major Indian and international brands of clothes and apparels. The mall has a. multi-cuisine food court, Food Talk, on the second floor, along with several restaurants including The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Pizza Hut, Chicago Pizza and KFC. The mall also houses a PVR multiplex, which comprises six screens. There is also a outdoor open plaza, Sanskriti, for art festivals, fairs, exhibitions, performances, and al fresco dining. The plaza is landscaped extensively in timber, water, stone and steel and has an open–air amphitheatre, along with trees and water features.
