Danyang

Danyang (단양, 丹陽), formerly romanized as Tanyang, is a resort town in North Chungcheong, South Korea. Danyang is the home of the mountain life where the Namhangang River flows and Sobaeksan Mountain stands like a folding screen. It is a place where Danyang Palgyeong is like a gem in nature.

    The Suyanggae Tunnel, constructed during the Japanese colonial period, is an underground structure located at San 24-2, Aegok-ri, Jeokseong-myeon. Measuring 200 meters in length and 5 meters in width, it had been abandoned for decades after its creation. Today, it has been reborn as a complex multimedia space that incorporates cutting-edge video, sound systems, and LED media facades.
