Decent place for coffee and cake with mid-range prices, much like Starbucks. Anna is a chain of at least two cafes there are more one at Fővám tér. The one near Vörösmarty tér is always full of visitors even in winter time - do check your bill for unjustified extra charges. Latte is bit smaller than usual; by default there's little milk. Good selection of leaf teas; served in kettles about 2 cups in size. Free wifi internet access.

Aranyszarvas Restaurant

Traditional restaurant with local cuisine. The building is the Deer House (Szarvas-ház) with the former Deer Cafe, which was built in Zopf style. There is a relief above the gate, a Guildtable for the former cafeteria. The 'guildtable', a copy made in 1811, replacing the 17th century destroyed original artwork.

Castle Garden Kiosk – Ybl Buda Creative House

Exhibition space. The building was designed by Miklós Ybl. The construction was completed in 1882. It was built as the engine room of the Royal Palace’s water supply system. The Eclectic building is a decorative blend of Renaissance and Baroque style features. The Schröffl brothers (György and Ármin) were entrusted with the fine sculptural works, the grotesque murals made with the sgraffito technique were the works of Róbert Scholtz. The northern part of the building included the cafe (today's reception), the southern part included the mechanical equipment of the waterworks (large hall, arched hall), while the part above the engine room housed the engineer's apartment (gallery). Between the two parts rises the tower structure that hid the chimney of the steam boilers. Ybl thus masterfully hid the structure.

Danube Promenade

On the bank of the Danube, this promenade extends from the Széchenyi Chain Bridge to the Erzsébet Bridge. - In the midst of boxes of glass hotels is the eccentric Neo-Byzantine Vigadó Concert Hall, which survived the building boom of the late 1960s. Behind the Vigadó is the local hub of the city, Vörösmarty tér (a square), named after the 19th-century poet Mihály Vörösmarty. The traditional Gerbeaud coffeehouse has long been a great people watching spot. Váci utca and environs is the area for chic clothing, used books, folk art and sidewalk cafés. Further along the promenade is Március 15 tér, where the remains of a Roman bastion, Contra-Aquincum, were discovered, The Inner City Parish Church’s simple exterior conceals a colorful past: it began as a Romanesque basilica, was used as a mosque and was finally reconceived in the Baroque style in the 18th century. Macska which means "Cat" in Hungarian is a charming, eclectic pub and vegetarian restaurant in District VIII. The neighborhood may have a bit of a bad reputation, but really it's quite alright as it is close to Jozsef Ringroad. It is a ruin pub decorated with recycled, retro pieces, showing yet again that in Hungary one man’s trash truly is another man’s treasure. Millenáris

This huge cultural centre has been built around former factory buildings. The complex includes a park, a small artificial lake, two playgrounds, some cafés and a theatre which hosts music, theatre and sometimes great contemporary opera performances. You can book your ticket at their home page, which is available in Hungarian and English. The area is frequently used as a venue for various fairs and exhibitions as well. (The interactive museum called Csodák Palotája (Palace of Wonders) which used to reside in the Millenáris moved to the Campona shopping centre in Southern Buda.)
