1. DoCentral

   "Ade Irma Suryani Nasution" Traffic Park

   Taman Lalu Lintas

   Recreation park in the heart of the city, for children to learn about traffic signs and rules. Children can ride around by mini-cars or bicycles. The park is located in a green garden space that used to be part of the command centre of the Dutch East Indies army.

2. SeeCentral

   Alun-alun

   The alun-alun is the large central open lawn square, as most Indonesian cities, towns, and villages have. Bandung's alun-alun is just west of the Kilometre Zero, on the southside of the Jalan Asia Afrika. Bandung's alun-alun has been renovated in 2015 using synthetic grass, and it is a popular place for locals to get together. Hawkers sell many types of snacks and toys for children. There is an underground parking garage below the square. On the northern side (Jl. Asia Africa), most days there'll be some youngsters hanging out dressed up in fancy costumes (cosplay) that are happy for a donation when you take pictures with them.

   Typical Indonesian city mall with an Empire XXI cinema, a family karaoke (KTV), large supermarket, department store, and a range of middle class shops and reasonably priced cafés and restaurants.

4. SeeNorth

   Bandung Zoo

   Kebun Binatang Bandung

   Zoo of 14 hectares next to the ITB university campus. The zoo was established during the colonial time, in 1933. It is a popular attraction for domestic tourists, but the zoo is not well maintained and therefore not recommended.

5. SeeNorth

   Djuanda Forest Park

   Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda

   The forest park is a conservation area and botanical garden in the mountains on the north side of the city, and serves as a water catchment area for the city. There are some interesting parks for children or to have a picnic. Some people walk through the forest to reach Maribaya park in Lembang. There are two caves in the park that can be visited. You will need to rent a torch, because there is no light in the caves.

   Popular place with a big selection of good, standard Western and Asian classics in a spacious, family-friendly setting.

7. SeeNorthwest

   Museum Barli

   Art museum established by and named after Indonesian painter Barli Sasmitawinata (1921-2007). The collection consists of paintings of Barli himself and other Indonesian painters, as well as vintage toys and comic books. Children are invited to follow comic drawing classes.

8. DoEast

   Saung Angklung Udjo

   Angklung is a traditional Sundanese musical instrument, made by bamboo. Udjo Nalagena, a famous angklung artist, created an Angklung House in East Bandung, where angklung instruments are made, learned and played. You can enjoy an angklung concert played by the orchestra (which includes both adults and children), combined with a dance performance. The concert is interactive, with the spectators invited to hold small angklungs and join. The place is in the middle of padi terrace and bamboo field, a perfect location to feel the relaxedness of a small village. There is a small café and a souvenir shop at the venue. It is one of the most popular travel destinations in Bandung, and it is highly recommended. Performances usually take place both in the morning and in the afternoon.

   The Secret Factory Outlet

   A modern style outlet, the first outlet you'll encounter when you enter Jalan Riau. There is a huge section for kids at its back, but it is for generally all ages. Casual and smart casual options.

10. BuySouth

    Trans Studio Mall

    TSM

    The largest shopping mall of the city, connected to the Trans Studio theme park. The mall is the place in Bandung to find upscale clothing and fashion brands, as well as sit-down dining options and a huge food court. There is also an XXI cinema, NAV Family Karaoke (KTV), a large supermarket, and a department store.

11. DoNorthwest

    ZEN Family Spa & Reflexology

    One of the most popular massage/spa services in the city. The location on Jalan Sukajadi (near the PVJ shopping mall) is the original location, but nowadays they have more locations in Bandung and other Indonesian cities. Balinese relaxation massage, foot treatment, back and shoulder massage, face therapy, Thai massage, body scrub, and more.
