Fredens Ark

Ark of Peace

The Ark is the largest building on Christiania, and the largest half-timbered house in Northern Europe. It was built in 1837 as the main building of the barracks, with sleeping and officers quarters. Today around 80 people live in the protected building, and the lower levels are home of the 'Rockmaskinen' club which has occasional events and the community's social counseling (Herfra og videre)
