Golden Hour at the Cascades

A classic Yerevan evening: catch the last warm light over the city, then settle in for dinner and wine in the vibrant neighborhood below.

Best time: sunsetAbout 150 min

Timeline

  1. 18:55

    Climb the Cascades

Climb the Cascades to the top. The view of the city and Mt. Ararat is spectacular as the day ends. You can take the escalators inside the art gallery and step outside at each level if you prefer not to walk the full stairs.

  2. 19:20

    The Coast

Head down to The Coast for a pre-dinner drink or light bite. It offers great international food options and is located right at the Cascade, making it a convenient stop before your main meal.

  3. 19:50

    Lavash

Walk to Lavash for dinner. This local restaurant serves very good traditional Armenian cuisine. The large room upstairs offers a more refined experience, but the prices are the same. Note that it can be busy on weekend nights, so be prepared for a wait or reserve ahead.

  4. 20:40

    In Vino

End the night with a drink at In Vino. As the first wine bar on Saryan Street, it helped transform the neighborhood and remains a popular spot for an evening wind-down.

Local tip

The Cascades are best experienced in the late afternoon or early evening. If you visit on a weekend, expect crowds at dinner spots like Lavash; arriving early or booking a table is wise.
