Disney Springs is an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, near Orlando. First opened on March 22, 1975 as Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village, it has been expanded and rebranded over the years as Walt Disney World Village (1977), Disney Village Marketplace (1989), and Downtown Disney (1997), becoming Disney Springs in 2015. A similar complex, called Flamingo Crossings, was opened on the opposite side of Walt Disney World in 2021.

Very good homestyle "comfort food" served in a classic 1950s sitcom kitchen, complete with Formica tabletops and black-and-white televisions. Word to the wise: you had better eat all your vegetables if you want to order dessert. Your server, in character as an ersatz family member, will have no qualms about putting you on the spot about this or any number of things; it's all in good fun, but do not eat here if you're not in the mood to play along.

It's eternally Oktoberfest inside the Biergarten, where a grand German all-you-can-eat buffet awaits. The spread is magnificent, with virtually any German dish you could name available in some form or another. Grab a plate and a beer, and sit down for some rousing "oom-pah" music from the stage; if you can stop eating long enough, you can even sing along. This is the place for boisterous, extravagant fun, not a quiet, relaxing meal.

Don't go in the main entrance of the pavilion; head around to the right and find the side entrance that leads to this unique restaurant. Here you can eat with the fishes (and the occasional diver), in a dining room that shares a wall with the main aquarium tank; huge windows let you see the action while you eat. Let the cast members know if it's a special occasion, and they'll try to seat you up close.

Enjoy a light, French-inspired breakfast or lunch in the Beast's grand ballroom (or his mysterious West Wing, or the Rose Gallery). The food is quick but the service is elegant; you'll be fed on fine china, not paper plates! Even though lunch at Be Our Guest is considered a "Quick Service" meal (for Disney Dining Plan purposes) and you still have to find your own table, you can make ADRs for lunch. In fact, you can even pre-order your meal, up to 30 days in advance.

Dine like the Founding Fathers in a tavern inspired by 18th-century New England. At lunch, choose from items such as roast beef, roast turkey, or even a cheeseburger if you must. Dinner, on the other hand, is served family-style, and the pork, turkey, beef, potatoes, veggies, stuffing, and mac & cheese will keep coming (and coming) until you're full. The dinner isn't cheap but it's well worth the price (especially if you use the Dining Plan); everything is well made and you can't leave hungry. This brand-new eatery focuses on wood-fired pizza crafted in the traditional Neapolitan style—right down to the hand-made mozzarella, the mineral content of the water, and the flour imported straight from Naples. Most Americans have never had pizza this good. Check out the sculpted faces on the three pizza ovens, named after Italy's three active volcanoes: Etna, Vesuvio, and Stromboli.

The Royal Banquet Hall is the best place in Epcot to see the Disney Princesses, but you'd better bring an Advance Dining Reservation if you want to get in. The Princess Storybook meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—are exceedingly popular. A select number of Disney's Princesses will be on hand to chat and pose for pictures. The food is served family-style.

Revolving circular restaurant above the Living With The Land ride. "Chip 'n Dale's Harvest Feast" is the name of the meal here, featuring home-style meat-and-potatoes food served family-style, much of it grown right there in The Land's greenhouses. In addition to Chip 'n Dale, you'll find Pluto and Farmer Mickey coming by to say hello. Despite the characters' presence, it's fairly quiet due to the shape of the restaurant, with the seating arrayed around the perimeter and the kitchen in the middle.

Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto has opened this enormous eatery to bring a pan-Asian flavor to Disney Springs. Dressed as the former Disney Springs Bottling Company, the restaurant features a gleaming metal and crystal interior with numerous dining areas and a bar that stretches across the building's two stories. Morimoto's specialty has always been Japanese fusion, but here he brings in flavors from throughout East Asia, as well as Western-inspired dishes with signature Asian touches. An outside walk-up window, Street Food, serves ramen, sushi, and more at a cheaper price.

A long time ago, before Pleasure Island was even a glimmer in anyone's eye, this was the Empress Lilly, a replica (but non-functioning) paddle-wheel steamboat named for Walt Disney's widow. After many years as Fulton's Crab House, its newest incarnation is Paddlefish. As with its predecessors, the specialty is seafood. Although the three floors each offer a different experience, with the open top deck particularly appealing, the view still pales in comparison to the seafood-focused Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot.

The restaurant's name is the Hawaiian word for "family," introduced to Disney audiences in the movie Lilo & Stitch (although this restaurant is much older than the film; The Walt Disney World Explorer application from the 1990s mentions this restaurant by name). Breakfast features the title characters from the film (and often Mickey and Pluto), though dinner does not. Both meals are, appropriately enough, served family-style, and feature Polynesian flavors without being too exotic.

The cafe hosts two totally different meals, both buffets. Breakfast is Goofy's Beach Club Breakfast, with Goofy, Minnie, and Donald getting ready for a day at the beach. Dinner is modeled after a seaside clam bake, with barbecue and pasta on one side and seafood on the other. No characters at dinner, just a lot of good food.

An all-you-care-to-eat character buffet hosted by Mickey Mouse himself. Features a separate buffet with items geared for more adult tastes. When they're not clamoring for Mickey's attention, kids will enjoy the setting in the hotel's Grand Canyon Concourse, watching the monorails pass through on their way to the Magic Kingdom. This is among the most popular character dining options, especially for breakfast, so be sure to get advance dining reservations. Brunch service begins May 31, 2015.

There's also a takeout window with a couple of taco options and margaritas.
