Timeline

    Yongseongtongdalg

Grab a bite at Yongseongtongdalg. This is the most famous chicken spot in Suwon, and eating here while it is still warm lets you feel the crispiness. Arrive early to avoid the rush before the sun goes down.

  2. 17:27

    Dolmens of Paldalsan Mountain

Walk up to the Dolmens of Paldalsan Mountain. The cluster sits on the hillside, and this is your chance to see the capstones in the golden hour light before the sun dips below the horizon toward the WSW.

  3. 18:07

    Pal-dal-san (팔달산)

Head to Pal-dal-san for dinner and a drink. This traditional makgeolli bar offers a stunning night view of the city. Order some Korean pancakes (jeon) and regional rice wine to enjoy the dark sky.

Local tip

The chicken at Yongseongtongdalg is best eaten immediately. If you plan to stay longer at the dolmens, consider taking the chicken to go, though the atmosphere inside is part of the experience.
