Move to the main area of Parque de los Reyes for the moment itself. Between 20 May and 02 Jun, or from 09 Jul to 23 Jul, the sun sets directly behind the park. The light will hit the trees and the river just as the sun dips below the horizon. Stay for the afterglow.

End your evening with a 17-minute walk to Parque de la Familia. This larger park extends the experience and offers a different perspective of the riverbank. It is a calm place to reflect on the view and finish the night.
Local tip
The alignment only works on specific dates. Check the sunset time for your visit, as the window shifts slightly each day. If you are visiting outside the May-July or July-September windows, you will still get a beautiful sunset, but the sun will not align perfectly behind the park.
