Best time: sunsetAbout 90 min

Timeline

  1. 18:15

    Bois de Vincennes

Stroll along the footpaths of the Bois de Vincennes. The lake is calm and the islands are accessible by footbridge. It is a spacious escape from the city noise.

  2. 18:35

    Château de Vincennes

Walk north to the Château de Vincennes. This former royal fortress stands at the edge of the woods. The stone walls catch the fading light beautifully.

  3. 19:00

    Château de Vincennes

Find a spot in the grounds or courtyard to watch the sun set toward the WSW. The golden hour light (starting around 18:17) will warm the medieval architecture before the sky darkens.

  4. 19:20

    The Frog at Bercy Village

Head west to Parc de Bercy. The Frog at Bercy Village is a short walk away. Order a drink on the open terrace to enjoy the evening air after the sunset.

Local tip

The walk from the Château to the drinks spot in Bercy is about an hour on foot. If you prefer a shorter route, check the transport route from Porte Dorée or Porte de Charenton.
