Timeline

    Musée Rodin

Walk through the park grounds before the museum doors open. The spacious building with big windows is already open in the morning light, and the park is accessible until 18:00. Use the quiet time to find a spot with a clear view of the west-southwest horizon for the sunrise.

  2. 08:39

    Musée Rodin

Watch the sunrise. The sun sets (and in the morning, rises) toward the WSW. The early light filters through the open windows of the museum house, illuminating the sculpture collection inside.

    Gâteaux Thoumieux

Head to Gâteaux Thoumieux for breakfast. This patisserie is open from 08:30 on weekdays (or 08:30 on Sundays), making it the perfect early stop after the sunrise. Let chef Ludovic Chaussard’s cakes start your day.

  4. 09:39

    Musée Rodin

Return to the Musée Rodin if you wish to enter the museum. The ticket office opens at 10:00, but you can linger in the park or admire the exterior art until then. Admission is €5, or €1 for garden only.
