Pick up macarons or a pastry to go. Ladurée is open from 08:00, so you can grab a sweet treat to fuel up before the walk.
17:01
Walk to the American Cathedral. Use the remaining time to find a quiet spot outside the entrance. The low winter sun will hit the Gothic Revival stone façade just as the light begins to fade, creating a soft, golden contrast against the evening sky.
17:36
Head to Parc Monceau. It is a short walk north-northeast from the cathedral. This elegant green space, famously painted by Monet, offers a serene atmosphere as dusk settles. Look for the statues and the entrance rotunda as the light turns blue.
17:51
Dinner at Fagot. Located just a short walk from the park, this wine bar and restaurant is open until midnight. It is a perfect place to linger over a meal and a glass of wine after the evening chill sets in.
Local tip
The walk from the cathedral to the park is gentle, but wear a warm layer as the temperature drops quickly after sunset in January.
