Walk up to the Arsenal brick building. It was built in 1851 as a munitions depot and designed to look like a medieval fortress. The battlements offer a clear view toward the WSW. Arrive early enough to find a spot where the golden light hits the brickwork before the sun dips below the horizon.

Head to Cafe Hong Kong for dinner. The portions are large and the food is delicious. This spot is a favorite for its substantial mains and soups. It is open late, so you can enjoy a relaxed meal as the city lights come on.

Walk across the street to Spicy Village for a drink or a late bite. This informal eatery serves food from the province of Henan. The highlight is the Spicy Big Tray Chicken, a large soupy stew that is perfect for sharing after a long day.
