Head straight to the main building to soak in the ancient hot springs. The grounds open early, and arriving right at 09:00 helps you avoid the midday crowds.

Walk just a minute away to Ichiroku Honten. Grab a box of their famous sweet bean pastries to take with you or enjoy on the go. The shop opens at 07:30, so it is fully ready for you.
11:00
Sit down at Petit Madonna, a nearby café just two minutes from the sweet shop. Order a drink and relax with your treats while you recover from the heat of the baths.
Local tip
The onsen complex is large and can get busy. Check the route for the ropeway if you prefer not to walk up the hill from the town center.

- Dōgo Onsen Honkan is open daily from 06:00 to 23:00.
