Timeline
18:08
Start with a coffee at Pajti. It is a short walk from the palace and open until 19:00 on weekdays, giving you plenty of time to settle in before the light changes.
18:53
Walk to Libás Beach. The 32-minute stroll from the palace takes you to the eastern shore. Arrive early to find a good spot facing west. The beach offers free Wi-Fi and changing rooms if you need to freshen up.
19:38
Watch the sunset. On 15 April the sun sets at 19:38 toward the WNW. The golden light begins around 18:57, painting the lake in warm tones as the day ends.
20:23
End your evening with a stroll through Helikon Park. It is the biggest green area in town and located just 18 minutes from the palace. The Helikon Monument stands as a landmark here, commemorating the festivals of 1817–1819.
Local tip
Libás Beach is quite far from the center. If you prefer a shorter walk for the sunset, Town Beach is closer (25 minutes) but faces SSE, meaning the sun will be behind you rather than in front of you. For the best view of the setting sun, Libás Beach is the right choice despite the longer walk.
Check before you go
