Timeline

  1. 15:35

    Triund

Start the trek from Bhagsu or Dharamkot. The 6 km climb through the jungle is steep, but starting early ensures you reach the ridge with plenty of energy to spare.

  2. 16:55

    Triund Hill

Reach the summit of Triund Hill. The ridge opens up to a panoramic view of the snow-covered Dhauladhar range. Settle in on the grass and watch the valley fill with golden light.

  3. 17:35

    Snowline Cafe

Walk down the trail to Snowline Cafe. It is a short 15-minute walk from the viewing spot. Order a warm drink and a simple meal to warm up as the evening chill sets in.

Local tip

The trek is popular, so expect other hikers on the trail. The summit is the best place to find quiet space for the view.

Check before you go

  • Snowline Cafe is open from 08:00 to 22:00, so it will be ready for your post-sunset visit.
  • The trek takes about 3 hours one-way from the base. Start your climb well before the golden light hour to avoid being on the trail in the dark.
