Museum of Natural History and Science

The National Museum of Natural History and Science (MUHNAC) in Lisbon, Portugal is the country's main museum focusing on nature. Situated in the old Polytechnic School (and later School of Science) building in the city centre, the museum is managed as a department of the University of Lisbon. Tracing its roots back to the 18th century, its rich collections reflect a gathering and study effort of over more than 250 years, spanning zoology, anthropology, geology and botany.
