U.S. Pub­lic Health Ser­vice Ma­rine Hos­pi­tal orig­i­nally it had 312 beds and served vet­er­ans, mer­chant sea­men, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Light­house Service, and poor and in­di­gent peo­ple. Closed in 1981, it is now an office complex.
