Brown Hill

Brown Hill is a hill in the Australian state of South Australia located on the western edge of the Mount Lofty Ranges, 7 kilometres (4.3 miles) southeast of the centre of Adelaide, in the suburb of Brown Hill Creek. Brown Hill rises to 312 metres (1,024 feet) above sea level. Brown Hill, along with Mount Lofty, Green Hill, Flagstaff Hill and Black Hill, was used by Colonel William Light as a trig station for the 1837 survey of what is now the Adelaide city centre.

Brownhill Creek Recreation Park
Brownhill Creek Recreation Park is a protected area located about 8 kilometres (5.0 miles) south of the Adelaide city centre in City of Mitcham along part of the course of the Brown Hill Creek. The recreation park was proclaimed under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 in 1972 to "provide recreation opportunities for the Adelaide and eastern metropolitan region and to conserve remnant aged river red gums and the riparian zone habitat". The land previously subject to protected area status as a "National Pleasure Resort" since 1915.

Carrick Hill
Carrick Hill is a historic estate in Springfield, South Australia, established by Ursula Barr Smith and Edward Hayward in 1935. Built between 1937 and 1939 using materials from England's Beaudesert Estate, the mansion features a formal garden designed by Ursula and incorporates both antique and contemporary furnishings. The Haywards assembled a significant art collection, including works by Australian and international artists, and hosted frequent cultural and social gatherings.
