The work of sculptor Károly Antal was erected in 1937. The statue depicts Friar Julian and Gerard who, on the orders of King Andrew II of Hungary, they set out to search for the remaining of the Hungarians in the Ancient Homeland. A typical example of the style of the Római School and one of the outstanding works of the genre is the 2 m high bronze memorial. It was placed on the ruins of medieval Dominican church.
