Marco Avellaneda

Marco Manuel Avellaneda (18 June 1813 – 3 October 1841) was the governor of Tucumán Province in Argentina, and father of the Argentine President Nicolás Avellaneda. He was executed after an unsuccessful revolt against the Federal government, and his head was displayed on a pike.

Liliana Crociati
The tomb of Liliana Crociati de Szaszak is a tomb in La Recoleta Cemetery, Buenos Aires, Argentina, known for its unusual design. 26-year-old Liliana Crociati de Szaszak (1944–1970) was in Innsbruck, Austria on 26 February 1970, when her hotel was struck by an avalanche, killing her. Her tomb was designed by her mother in the Neo-Gothic style, in sharp contrast to the other tombs in the cemetery.

Rufina Cambaceres
Rufina Cambaceres (also spelled Cambacérès) (31 May 1883 – 31 May 1902) was the sole heiress to a large fortune derived from cattle ranching in Argentina. In 1902, at the age of 19, she was found apparently lifeless, and buried in the family vault in Buenos Aires. After her interment, noises were heard from the tomb, and she was subsequently discovered to have been buried alive.

Lucio Norberto Mansilla
Lucio Norberto Mansilla (April 2, 1789 – April 10, 1871) was an Argentine military officer, surveyor and politician who played a prominent role in the Argentine War of Independence, the Cisplatine War and the Anglo-French blockade of the Río de la Plata. He was the first governor of the Entre Ríos Province. Although he commanded several units in many battles, he is most renowned for commanding the Argentine forces in the battle of Vuelta de Obligado on the Paraná River during the Anglo-French blockade of the Río de la Plata.
