Cartwright Gardens
Cartwright Gardens is a crescent-shaped park and street in Bloomsbury, London. The houses were originally built between 1809 and 1811 as part of The Skinners' Company Estate and named Burton Crescent after their designer and developer James Burton. The development attracted many upper middle class residents until the character of the area changed towards the end of the 19th century when lodging houses were established in the buildings.
