Heerup Museum

Henry Heerup (1907-1993) was a popular Danish painter, with close ties to the avant garde movement, although his work is often described as timeless, colorful and Childish. He received recognition outside Denmark, and has work exhibited at, for example, MOMA in New York and the Carnegie Institute. The museum's initial collection was donated by his widow, after his death.
