Kings Plains National Park

Kings Plains offers excellent bushwalking, swimming, ephemeral waterfalls. Campground (tents only, unpowered sites), picnic tables, barbecue facilities, toilets. Bring own drinking water, cooking water, firewood. No mobile phone signal.

Getting there

49.5 km north-west of Glen Innes via Ferguson Street/Gwydir Highway westbound, turn right/north onto Coronation Avenue, turn left/west onto Grafton Street/Martin Street, cross the Furracabad Creek bridge and continue ahead as Strathbogie Road, turn left/west onto Wellingrove Road, turn right/north onto Polhill Road then left/west onto Kings Plains Road, pass the Eastern Feeder Track on the left, turn right/north onto Jindalee Road, turn left/west onto Ironbark Drive, continue through the four-way intersection at the entrance of the national park and proceed to the campground
