You can explore the massive remains of the former steel mill by following the "Hüttenweg," a self-guided trail with informative signs that winds through the industrial monuments. While the grounds are always accessible, a guided tour allows you to climb the 25-meter-high platform of Blast Furnace VI for a panoramic view of the city, visit a historic cone-shaped air-raid shelter (Spitzbunker), and see the preserved gas blowing engines. The meeting point for tours is typically at the Stummsche Reithalle.
