A beautiful street of terraced Spanish Mission-style speciality shops that opened in 1932 and have reopened since the quake. The tram runs along the street.

Tram ride
Runs on a loop in the central city that takes 50 min in total. Get on and off as you please with your day-long ticket. Ticket can be bought online, on aboard, or at the office in stop 1 (109 Worcester Street). Annual pass for tram & gondola is available (adult $99, children $40 (5–15 years), family (2 adults and up to 3 children) $240).

Have a seasonal dinner in a moving tramcar and enjoy sightseeing central Christchurch outside the windows. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan and halal options available. ChristChurch Cathedral
The Gothic revival cathedral was consecrated in 1881 as the seat of the Christchurch Anglican diocese. Damaged in the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes, the cathedral sat largely untouched for years due to debate over what should be done with it. Removal of rubble commenced in late 2018 and rebuilding work is expected to take 10 years.
