Turkish brunch spot. High-quality coffee, sweet and savoury pastries, and a selection of freshly-cooked hot food. Menemen and shakshouka available every day, with sublime çılbır available on weekdays. Very attentive service, but prepare to wait for a table or sit outside on Saturday and Sunday mornings -- it's not a big place

Old style pub in the centre of town with a blazing fireplace in the winter. One of the few pubs to sell a local cider rather than the mass-produced stuff.

Old Ticket Office
Friendly bar with outdoor seating just next to the station, mostly commuters. Very comfortable seats, live train times on screen. City Pub Co. bought and renovated the former ticket office in 2018 and it's been very successful, with a handful of regulars despite being on the outskirts of town. Wide range of craft beers (more than 30!) and gins (more than 20), wines and cocktails. Extensive hot food menu and takeaway pastries.
