It was founded in 1675, with references to its existence dating back to the year 1008. It is declared a Cultural Property of National Interest. Before the current temple there was a Romanesque church and even before that a temple of Roman origin. There is a guided visit to the Dolors Chapel (Chappel of the sorrows)
