Ponte dei Sospiri

Connecting the Doge's Palace with the prison. Persons convicted in the palace were passing to prison here, seeing the last of Venice before going into the dark prison area with no daylight. You can pass the bridge yourself during a visit to the Doge's Palace or view it from outside from the Ponte della Paglia.
