Wonderful Indian place near the main train station with great value for money, and a long history in Aarhus. Although budget-priced, the menu is very varied and includes some more expensive choices as well, and the place is furnished for a good in-house dining experience. Excellent choice for vegetarians, with a broad selection of dishes. Remember to specify how spicy you want the food!

If you are willing to spend some time on a nightlife treasure hunt, try if you can find Gedulgt. It is a super hip cocktail bar with the most creative drinks, but located in a nondescript backyard as some kind of secret speakeasy. Look for the green door. Possibly the best and most authentic sushi restaurant in Aarhus, with a chef and owner trained in Japan. Original Japanese teas. Best to order well in advance, preferably a day or more and especially if you're arriving with a large party, as everything is made fresh to order.
