Trumpeldor beach

An oddball apartment building on the beach which starts normally, but then grows outward on gravity-defying columns. By architect Tzvi Harel, who drew up the design never intending to build it, until it caught the eye of a local entrepreneur.

An American-style bar features live music every night of the week. Also features outdoor seating in the more pleasant weather, pool table and televised sporting events. Mostly Anglo 20-30 something crowd, very good bar with several kinds of beer on tap.

Mike's Place

The biggest destination for teenagers, who find it easy to get here from the nearby Carmel Market bus terminal. Opposite Allenby street, it was renamed in 1987 in honor of Jerusalem.
