Leonhardi Museum

The building was used as a studio and museum by the artist Eduard Leonhardi (late Romanticism) until he died in 1905. From 1963 to 1990, contemporary art exhibitions showing works from progressive GDR artists were held despite many attempts by the Stasi to prevent nonconformist art. Nowadays it contains a permanent collection of works by Leonhardi, and changing contemporary exhibitions.
