Stuttgart is fond of its mineral springs, the biggest in Western Europe. The best one might be the Leuze Mineralbad which also offers a sauna, but there are many others like the Höhenfreibad Killesberg (open-air pool for €4.10) or the Mineralbad Berg.

Ludwigsburg Palace
Residenzschloss Ludwigsburg
Germany's biggest baroque style palace. The palace can be visited as well as the huge garden "Blühendes Barock" where the world's largest pumpkin festival takes place every September. Also part of the garden is the fairy tale garden (Märchengarden) where some of the Grimms brothers' fairy tales are showcased in animated installations. Nice for children. Close to Ludwigsburg Palace are Favorite Palace and Monrepos Palace. The two are connected by Favoritepark which is an enclosed park where deer can be spotted on a regular basis (free)
