During COVID-19, the head chef and owner posted on Facebook that Chinese customers were "not welcome", a move which was denounced by the mayor of Düsseldorf and caused the Michelin Guide to no longer feature the restaurant. After a public outcry, the chef clarified that Chinese customers can still visit the restaurant.
