Quartel de São Francisco/Museum of the Macao Security Forces

加思欄兵營/澳門保安部隊博物館

A museum showing the history of Macau's first responders, which was built as a Portuguese barracks and later the headquarters of the security forces. Exhibition includes firearms, uniforms and various policing and firefighting equipment. Entry requires ID registration and X-ray scanning.

The world-acclaimed Pousada de São Tiago, with its access staircase through the walls of the ruined Barra Fortress, is located at the southern end of this road.

Casa Garden
This house, built in 1770, was the residence of the wealthy Portuguese merchant Manuel Pereira and was later rented out to the English East India Company. Today, it is the headquarters of the Oriental Foundation.
