Winnipeg Jets

Hockey (National Hockey League): In 2011, Winnipeg again became home to an NHL team after a Winnipeg-based group purchased the Atlanta Thrashers. The team resurrected the Jets name that had been used by two other Winnipeg-based hockey teams, most notably the city's former NHL franchise. The Jets play at Canada Life Centre, built in 2004 and a first-class venue for hockey games and concerts, though small by NHL standards. Single-game tickets are available, but can be hard to come across for key matchups; 13,000 of the arena's 15,000 seats were dedicated to season tickets.
