Its officially a bakery, but they don't sell bread. They do sell Amsterdam's most famous whipped ice cream, lovely almond cookies and cakes. The texture is really creamy and soft, it melts easily and they put it in a cone with a soup spoon.

Besides daily basics, you can also find original Dutch designs. Take a guided tour and check out the view from the top of the old stock exchange tower. It was built in 1903 (by Hendrik Petrus Berlage) and is considered the beginning of modern Dutch architecture. Costs €3.50, located on Beursplein near Dam Square.
