The roasted chicken in this shop is an intangible cultural heritage delicacy of Ruzhou, which originated during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty and has been passed down for five generations. As a renowned physician in Ruzhou, the founder has created an exclusive braised secret recipe by combining precious traditional Chinese medicines such as Angelica sinensis and Amomum villi with aged soup. Today, they still insist on using high-quality local chicken, which is boiled over high heat and slowly braised over low heat for twelve hours. The finished product has a bright red color, soft and tender flesh, and is both delicious and nourishing.
