Nybroplan

A square which was built in the 19th century, creating a traffic hub for steamboats to Stockholm archipelago, as well as trams. Sweden's first traffic light was set up at Nybroplan in 1924. A statue commemorates Swedish inventor John Ericsson, who designed one of England's first steam locomotives (the Novelty) as well as the USS Monitor (which was decisive in the American Civil War).
