Museum of Uruguayan art from the 19th to early 20th centuries, named after one of the most famous Uruguayan painters, Juan Manuel Blanes. Also features a Japanese garden.

Parque del Prado
The largest park in the city proper is a few kilometers north of Palacio Legislativo. It is bisected by a creek named Miguelete. The botanical garden of the city is here too, as is the Juan Blanes museum and several pretty residences from the turn of the century. A popular place to hang out for locals.

Mastra
Unassuming place inside a marketplace but with an excellent selection of beers in a range of style. Yeah, they've got a ubiquitous IPA, but it's obligatory these days, but to their credit, everything else is creative and well-brewed. The best of the bunch is their Mercado, but they've also got a couple of Belgian styles, a Scottish ale, a stout, and a honey beer, so something for every kind of beer lover.

Torre Antel
157 m high, this skyscraper is Uruguay's highest building. There's a viewing platform and even free guided tours (in Spanish).
