Fearless Girl

This statue of a defiant young girl was originally unveiled facing the Charging Bull sculpture in 2017, as a symbol of women's roles in corporate leadership and the importance of gender diversity. It was also a publicity stunt for an index fund focused on gender-diverse leadership – a fact not lost on the Bull's sculptor, who complained that the Girl was an advertising trick that detracted from his sculpture. Nonetheless, the statue's popularity has kept it on Wall Street; the Girl was moved in 2018 and now faces the New York Stock Exchange.
