Sabunchu Flea Market

A huge flea market next to some oil fields, seems to be mainly Azerbaijani families selling off old stuff from their homes. Some great finds to be had but it does take a while to sift through all the mounds of odd clothing and random bits of scrap metal. Women visiting alone should be more cautious than in central Baku, foreigners attract attention here and being followed isn't unheard of.

Getting there

Take the red line metro to Nefchilar, and from there catch the no. 40 bus to Sabunchu. Stay on the bus until you see an indoor food market; the main flea market is through this on the left
