Okhta

Охта

A historical district near the mouth of the Okhta River, contains a mix of colourful 19th-century apartments, early Stalinkas, and later, Soviet blocks near the Neva, as well as in the eastern back side of the area. The dead ends and alleys are pretty hard to navigate, but it's totally worth it! Has lots of shops, cafés and pubs if you search along Bolsheokhtinsky, Sredneokhtinsky, Novocherkassky, or Shaumyan Ave.
