Tai Ping Koon Restaurant

(太平館餐廳), 6 Pak Sha Road, Causeway Bay. Founded in Guangzhou in 1860, the three locations (two in Kowloon) have now become institutions of Canto-Western cuisine. Don't be put off by the touristy menu available in three languages, as the restaurant is very popular with locals. Some specialties are the Swiss sauce chicken wings, roasted young pigeon, smoked promfret, dried fried rice noodles with beef, and baked souffle. Reservation for a seating in their 1960-style room is highly recommended.
