Daily fresh handmade pasta in a two-level restaurant right by the entrance of Borough Market. Watch the chefs prepare dishes in the open kitchen on the main floor. Listed as a Michelin Bib Gourmand (2020) since 2016. No reservations are taken and queues can start before doors open, so go early or near closing.

Padella

This inn was built in 1676 after the original establishment was burned down in the Great London fire of 1666. The George is London's only surviving galleried coaching inn, and is one of the oldest pubs south of the Thames.
