Clapham Common

This large open space in densely built Wandsworth has been a source of comfort to Londoners for time immemorial. The common is roughly triangular shape with an area of 88 ha. It is mostly open grassy parkland with scattered mature trees. There are three ponds here which are notably popular with local fisherman. The Grade II listed bandstand was fully restored in 2006.
