Pasar Baru

An open market operating since the Dutch colonial era in 1820. Famous in Jakarta for selling textiles, sporting equipments, shoes, cameras and accessories. For numismatic lovers, this is also the place to go to. Tens of sellers display their collection of old Indonesian currency and also currency from around the world. Pasar Baru is also home to the Indian community in Jakarta.
